SECTION 1 — AGREEMENT
These Terms of Service constitute an agreement between you and Arcane Logic Inc, a Delaware corporation ("Arcane Logic", "we", "us"), governing your use of the Arcane Logic mobile application and related services.
By accessing or using the application you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

SECTION 2 — ELIGIBILITY AND GEOGRAPHIC SCOPE
YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO USE THE APPLICATION. By using it, you represent that you are.
THE APPLICATION IS OFFERED SOLELY IN THE UNITED STATES. It is intended for use by persons located in the United States and is not directed to, or offered for use by, persons in any other jurisdiction. We make no representation that the application, or any content within it, is appropriate or available for use outside the United States. If you access the application from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with the laws applicable to you.
You further represent that you are not prohibited from using the application under applicable United States law, and that you will not use it on behalf of another person without that person's authorisation.
We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, and remove content at our discretion.

SECTION 3 — NATURE OF THE SERVICE
THE ARCANE LOGIC APPLICATION IS PROVIDED FOR ENTERTAINMENT AND PERSONAL REFLECTION ONLY. IT HAS NO PREDICTIVE CAPABILITY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE ADVICE OF ANY KIND.
Cards are selected by a random number generator, which operates without reference to you, your circumstances, or any external condition. The selected cards and your chosen topic and spread are transmitted to a third-party artificial intelligence language model, which generates an interpretation. That interpretation is machine-generated text. It is not authored by any person, it is not reviewed before display, and the same cards will produce different text on different occasions. No part of this process forecasts or predicts any outcome.
A reading does not constitute, and must not be treated as:
• a prediction of future events, or a statement as to what will or may occur
• medical, psychological or mental health advice, or any form of diagnosis
• legal advice
• financial or investment advice
• professional advice of any other kind
• a statement of fact concerning you, any other person, or any event
YOU AGREE THAT YOU WILL NOT RELY ON ANY READING IN MAKING DECISIONS, including decisions concerning health, finances, relationships, employment or personal safety, and that you are solely responsible for any decision you make. A reading that appears to bear on a significant matter reflects meaning drawn by the reader from a random selection of cards; it does not constitute information about the world.
On any consequential matter, consult a qualified professional. The application is not a substitute for professional advice or care.
In the United States, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available at 988, by call or text, 24 hours a day. In an emergency, call 911.

SECTION 4 — ACCOUNTS
You are responsible for your account and for all activity occurring under it. You must keep your credentials confidential and notify us promptly at support@arcanelogic.io if you believe your account has been accessed by another person.
You must provide accurate information. Accounts are limited to one per person.
You may delete your account at any time at Preferences → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your readings, journal entries and memory profile. Deleted content cannot be restored.

SECTION 5 — SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENT
Billing
Arcane Logic offers a free tier and paid subscriptions. ALL PURCHASES ARE PROCESSED BY APPLE OR GOOGLE, not by Arcane Logic. Your subscription is subject to their terms in addition to these Terms.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account upon confirmation of purchase and upon each renewal.
Cancellation
Cancellation is effected through your Apple or Google account settings, at least 24 hours before the next renewal date. DELETING THE APPLICATION DOES NOT CANCEL A SUBSCRIPTION, AND NEITHER DOES DELETING YOUR ARCANE LOGIC ACCOUNT. Cancellation must be performed through the applicable store.
Access continues until the end of the period for which payment has been made.
Refunds
REFUNDS ARE ADMINISTERED BY APPLE AND GOOGLE, NOT BY ARCANE LOGIC. We are unable to issue refunds and do not have access to your payment method. Refund requests must be directed to the store through which the purchase was made.
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not prorated.
Price changes
We may change subscription prices. Existing subscribers will receive notice before a change takes effect, and the applicable store will request your consent to any increase. Where consent is not given, the subscription terminates at the end of the current period.
Free tier
The free tier is provided as-is and may be modified or discontinued. Reasonable notice will be given before any material reduction.

SECTION 6 — ACCEPTABLE USE
You may use the application for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
• use it if you are under 18
• resell readings, or offer paid readings to others using output from the application, in each case without the express written consent of Arcane Logic Inc
• scrape, crawl, or extract data in bulk
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive our prompts or models
• use automated systems to generate readings at volume
• attempt to make the app produce harmful, illegal, or abusive content
• interfere with the service or work around usage limits
• upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you have no right to share
• use it to harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone
• submit another person's personal information without their permission
We may suspend or terminate accounts in breach of this section without refund.

SECTION 7 — YOUR CONTENT
YOU RETAIN OWNERSHIP OF CONTENT YOU CREATE, including journal entries and any other text you enter.
You grant us a licence to store, process and display it for the purpose of running the app: showing you your history, sending reading context to our AI provider to generate an interpretation, and building and applying your memory profile. That licence is limited to operating the service and ends when you delete the content, subject to backup retention described in our Privacy Policy.
The memory profile
Where you subscribe and the memory feature remains enabled, we construct a composite profile derived from your readings AND YOUR JOURNAL ENTRIES: a written summary of themes and continuity, regenerated as your history accumulates. That profile is transmitted to our artificial intelligence provider as context when a reading is generated.
The profile is isolated to your account and is not sold, disclosed, or pooled with other users' data. Its construction is automated; no person at Arcane Logic reads journal entries in order to produce it. It is used solely to inform your own readings. Disabling the memory feature deletes the profile, as does deletion of your account.
Section 5 of our Privacy Policy describes this in full.
WE DO NOT USE YOUR CONTENT TO TRAIN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE MODELS, including the memory profile.
Where you elect to share a reading publicly, you grant us a licence to display it at the corresponding public link until you delete it.

SECTION 8 — OUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The application, its design, card interpretations, written material, prompts, the Arcane Logic name and logo, and all other material we have produced are owned by Arcane Logic or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other applicable law.
Readings generated for you may be retained, captured and shared by you for personal purposes. Without the express written consent of Arcane Logic Inc, you may not compile readings into a competing product, publish them as a collection, or use them for commercial purposes.
Tarot is a public tradition; our interpretations, written material and system are not.

SECTION 9 — MACHINE-GENERATED CONTENT
Readings are produced by a third-party artificial intelligence model. Accordingly:
• output is machine-generated, is not authored by any person, and is not reviewed before display
• output may be inaccurate, inconsistent or unexpected
• identical cards may produce different output on different occasions
• we do not warrant any particular output, tone or standard of quality
We do not warrant the quality or consistency of any output, and we are not responsible for how a reading affects you or for any action you take in response to one.

SECTION 10 — AVAILABILITY OF THE SERVICE
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the app, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice.
We are not liable for downtime, loss of data, or changes to features. In the event of complete discontinuation of the service, reasonable notice will be given together with a means of exporting your data.

SECTION 11 — DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
No warranty
THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ARCANE LOGIC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY AS TO ACCURACY, RELIABILITY OR AVAILABILITY.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT READINGS ARE ACCURATE, MEANINGFUL OR FIT FOR ANY PURPOSE.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE APPLICATION IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY UNITED STATES DOLLARS.
WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL OR OPPORTUNITY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
WE ARE SPECIFICALLY NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DECISION YOU MAKE, OR DECLINE TO MAKE, ON THE BASIS OF A READING.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Where a limitation is unenforceable, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.

SECTION 12 — INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Arcane Logic Inc, its officers, directors, employees and agents from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

SECTION 13 — GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES
Informal resolution
Before commencing any proceeding, you agree to write to legal@arcanelogic.io setting out the dispute and the relief sought. We will attempt to resolve the matter within 60 days.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Exclusive venue
ANY DISPUTE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APPLICATION THAT IS NOT RESOLVED INFORMALLY SHALL BE BROUGHT EXCLUSIVELY IN THE STATE OR FEDERAL COURTS LOCATED IN THE STATE OF DELAWARE. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts and waive any objection to venue in them, including on grounds of inconvenient forum.
No arbitration
These Terms do not require arbitration. Disputes are resolved in the courts identified above.
Small claims
Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court.
Time limit
Any claim arising out of these Terms or the application must be commenced within one year of accrual, failing which it is permanently barred.

SECTION 14 — TERMINATION
You may cease using the application and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access where you breach these Terms, where required by law, or where we discontinue the service. Upon termination, your licence to use the application ends. Sections 7, 8, 11, 12 and 13 survive termination.

SECTION 15 — CHANGES
We may amend these Terms. Where an amendment is material, notice will be given within the application before it takes effect. Continued use of the application following the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept an amendment, cease using the application and delete your account.

SECTION 16 — GENERAL
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between the parties in respect of the application.
Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
Apple. These Terms are between you and Arcane Logic, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or handle claims about the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Force majeure. Neither party is liable for any failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
